This bill would amend Section 20-2-1180 of the O.C.G.A. to require a hearing before a parent or guardian could be banned from a school. The bill would require a hearing with an independent person not employed by the school [It does not mention employed by the system, but that may be understood]. The parent or guardian would have to file a written request. The LBOE would be responsible for procedures and timelines for requesting and conducting the hearing.
